Amanda left the Twin Cities the next day for an internship in Seattle. They kept in touch over the summer, and three months later, on the day Amanda returned, they started dating and never looked back.
On March 30, 2012, Amanda got down on one knee and proposed on the front step of their house after returning home from a date. She said a lot of beautiful things that neither of them can remember because they were both so excited!

Laura's now the Associate Director of Individual Giving at Goodwill/Easter Seals Minnesota, raising money to train and prepare people with barriers to employment and independence. Amanda finished her master's in healthcare administration in May 2010 and is now the Director of Business Operations for Geriatric Services of Minnesota, a physicians' group that provides care to the frail elderly in their homes, nursing homes, and hospitals.
Laura and Amanda live together in South Minneapolis and spend their summers gardening together and their winters shoveling snow!
